You will first need to register as an attendee to the conference, as you will need the registration number provided in the confirmation E-mail. In that E-Mail, you will find a link, where you can create an account and register as author to start abstract submission for your contribution. This link is also to be found here, if you choose to submit a contribution at a later date.

If you already have an account with VITIS - Journal of Grapevine Research, please log in to that one. Then go to 'view profile', open the tab 'roles' and open the menu 'register with other journals'. From there, you can choose to enrol as author for this abstract submission.

Abstract formatting

Please use the provided MS-Word-template, which can be downloaded here: Template. Add as many authors as needed with their respective affiliation. Do not change the fontsize. Abstracts should be around 350 words and contain neither tables nor figures or references.

Authors should indicate if they prefer to have an oral presentation or a poster presentation by choosing the respective section during abstract submission and in the provided template mentioned above. Authors preferring an oral presentation should indicate the session they want to join.

Abstract evaluation

Abstracts will be evaluated by the Scientific Advisory Board of the Conference. Decisions on presentation as talk or poster and into which session the work will be grouped into will be communicated to the corresponding author by the end of May.

Abstract publication

The abstracts will be published in the Julius-Kühn-Archiv under a CreativeCommons Attributed 4.0 license. Starting in 1906 as Mitteilungen aus der Biologischen Bundesanstalt für Land- und Forstwirtschaft and continuing later on as Mitteilungen aus dem Julius Kühn-Institut, the Julius-Kühn-Archiv is nowadays a monographic series that mainly publishes proceedings of JKI conferences. As of today, 467 issues have been published.
The GBG conference issue will be available OpenAcess online from the day of the conference onwards in the repositorium of the Julius Kühn-Institut www.openagrar.de
